Participation Divisions

Age Groups: 16-19 years, 5 year age groups through 70+.


Athena: Female participants over 150 lbs.

  • 39 years and under
  • 40 years and over

Clydesdale: Male participants over 200 lbs.

  • 39 years and under
  • 40 years and over

Please note: Racers may enter only one division (either age-group or Athena/Clydesdale) if meeting above weight qualifications.


Relay Teams: Three people required.

  • All-male
  • All-female
  • Mixed gender

Relay is for the Olympic distance ONLY.


Elite: To qualify you must present an Elite/Pro USAT card on race day.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be at Running Away Multisport (1634 West North Ave., Chicago, IL 60622) on Friday - June 20, 12:00pm to 7:00pm.

Additional packet pickup will take place on Saturday - June 21, 12:00pm to 5:00pm at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva (directions).

Available to ALL racers and their families is a PASTA DINNER at the Grand Geneva, Saturday - June 21st from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Please note: There will be no race day registration or packet pickup. All participants must pick up their packet before race day.

Directions

Big Foot Beach is located at: 1550 S. Lake Shore Drive, Lake Geneva, WI 53147.


To Big Foot Beach State Park from

  • Chicago:

    Option 1 - Take I-90 northwest to the Rt. 47 exit (8 miles west of Elgin); proceed north 27 miles to the Wisconsin border where Rt. 47 becomes Rt. 120; proceed north on 120 till it becomes Cty Rd BB, turn right on Cty BB and continue 0.6 miles to Big Foot Beach. Park entrance is on the right.

    Option 2 - Take US Hwy 12 northwest from Chicago all the way to the Hwy 50 exit in Lake Geneva; proceed west 1.5 miles to downtown; turn left on Broad Street which becomes Lakeshore Dr. and proceed south about 2 miles to the state park across from Big Foot Beach.

  • Madison:

    Take I-90 south to Janesville; exit Hwy 14 southeast to Walworth; proceed east on County B/BB from downtown Walworth all the way to Big Foot Beach State Park which is on the right.

  • Madison:

    Take I-43 southwest and exit at WI Rt. 120 south (2nd East Troy exit); proceed south on Rt. 120 about 12 miles to Lake Geneva through downtown which becomes Broad Street which becomes Lakeshore Dr. Proceed south about 2 miles to the state park across from Big Foot Beach.

Parking

Option 1: Enter the park off of Lakeshor Drive (across from the lake) and proceed east until directed by attendants. Parking in the state park requires a one day fee of $7 (WI resident) or $10 (non-resident) if not possessing an annual pass.

Option 2: Free parking at Badger High School. Proceed back north on Rt. 120 from the park entrance approximately 1/2 mile to South Street; turn right and go 3/4 mile to the high school entrance on the right side of the street (just before the stop sign); attendants will direct racers back to the park from there.
